How to Enrich Newsletter Subscribers with Clay
Plus: a free template!
Hey there!
In the last week, 100+ of you subscribed to this newsletter — that was a surreal experience for me — thank you 🙏🏽
I had a blast writing last week’s newsletter “How to enrich a list of personal emails in Clay”. If you missed it, take a look and reply with your thoughts!
Moving forward, I want to make sure I’m providing you with value each week in this newsletter. Which brings me to this:

The Roundup 🤠 (cool Clay stuff I found this week)
When somebody subscribes to your newsletter, two things happen.
I get excited that somebody wants to read what I’m writing
I get nervous because I don’t know anything about that person

you’re probably somewhere in this mix :)
Basically, it’s like people showing up to your party, but you don’t know any of them.
Let’s change that!
We’ll enrich each email address to find:
name
location
follower count
the companies that they work for
if they appeared on a podcast
if they’re a leader in their space
For this example, I’m going to show you how I do this with beehiiv.
I have a template that you can use for free (skip to the bottom for demo).
What is Beehiiv?
Beehiiv is the platform I use to write this newsletter.
Inside Beehiiv, they have an API we can use to send new subscribers to a Clay table.
We can do this via the power of webhooks - here’s how that looks inside Beehiiv

Now, we need to send this data to our Clay table for enrichment to get:
name
location
follower count
the companies that they work for
if they appeared on a podcast
if they’re a leader in their space
They say “a picture is worth a thousand words”.
Then, a video is worth one million.
Here's a 60s video demo.
In case you missed it, please help me by choosing one of the following options below.
It helps me help you with better content next week.

Until next time,
